Two Minor League players suspended

The Office of the Commissioner of Baseball announced today that two Minor League players have been suspended following their violations of the Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program.

Free agent pitcher Edwin Fidel has received a 56-game suspension without pay after testing positive for Stanozolol, a performance-enhancing substance, in violation of the Program. The suspension of Fidel will be effective immediately upon signing with another Major League organization.

Oakland Athletics Minor League pitcher Yeudy Minaya has received a 56-game suspension without pay after testing positive for Stanozolol in violation of the Program. The suspension of Minaya, who is currently on the roster of the rookie-level Arizona League A's, is effective immediately.
