Dodgers-Rockies in rain delay in Denver

DENVER -- Rain hit during the first inning of Tuesday night's Dodgers-Rockies game at Coors Field, and umpires ordered a the game to be halted when Dodgers starter Brandon McCarthy's ball-four pitch to DJ LeMahieu, the Rockies' second batter in the bottom of the first, slipped from his hand and sailed to the backstop.

The delay occurred officially at 6:55 p.m. MT with the game scoreless, and one out in the bottom of the first.
