Dodgers Reinstate Hernández, Option Barnes

LOS ANGELES - The Los Angeles Dodgers today reinstated infielder/outfielder Kiké Hernández from the 15-day disabled list and optioned catcher/infielder Austin Barnes to Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Hernández, 24, appeared in six rehab games with the Rookie-level AZL Dodgers, Single-A Rancho Cucamonga and Double-A Tulsa, going 3-for-24 with a double, after being placed on the DL on June 28 with left ribcage inflammation. In 65 games with Los Angeles this season, he's hitting .189 with five home runs and 12 RBI, while playing six different positions in the field.

Barnes, 26, has gone 3-for-23 (.130) with a double and an RBI in 14 games during three stints with the Dodgers this year.
