Five of the seven teams in the Padres system won on Saturday.

There were two moves in the organization. Right-handed reliever Jason Jester was promoted from San Antonio to Triple-A El Paso. Left-handed reliever Elier Sanchez joined San Antonio from the Padres' extended spring training base in Arizona.

Meanwhile, the Padres announced that Chris Paddack, the right-handed pitcher acquired from Miami in the Fernando Rodney trade, will have Tommy John surgery. Paddack had a 0.64 ERA in three starts for Fort Wayne with 23 strikeouts in 14 innings before getting hurt.
