D-backs acquire Vicente Campos from Yankees for Tyler Clippard

The Arizona Diamondbacks (@Dbacks) acquired RHP Vicente Campos from the New York Yankees for RHP Tyler Clippard, as announced by D-backs Sr. Vice President & General Manager Dave Stewart. Campos was optioned to Double-A Mobile.
 
Campos, 24, went 9-3 with a 3.20 ERA (43 ER in 121.0 IP) with 135 strikeouts against 38 walks in 20 starts between Single-A Tampa, Double-A Trenton and Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre this season. Over parts of 7 seasons between the Yankees and Mariners organizations, he posted a 33-23 record with a 3.67 ERA (187 ER in 458.1 IP) with 420 strikeouts against 120 walks in 104 games (87 starts).
 
Signed by the Mariners as a non-drafted free agent in 2009, Campos was acquired by the Yankees along with RHP Michael Pineda in exchange for C/DH Jesus Montero and RHP Hector Noesi on January 23, 2012.
 
Clippard, 31, was 2-3 with a 4.30 ERA (18 ER in 37.2 IP) and 46 strikeouts against 15 walks in 40 games for Arizona.
