White Sox return Carlos Rodon from injury assignment; reinstate him from DL

Prior to today's series finale at Minnesota, the Chicago White Sox returned left-handed pitcher Carlos Rodon from his injury rehabilitation assignment with Class AAA Charlotte and reinstated him from the 15-day disabled list. He takes the roster spot of left-hander Zach Duke, who today was traded to the St. Louis Cardinals.
Rodon, 23, is scheduled to start this afternoon's game at Target Field. He has been on the 15-day disabled list since July 9 (retroactive to July 6) with a sprained left wrist. Rodon, who made one rehab start with Charlotte, is 2-7 with a 4.50 ERA (46 ER/92.0 IP) and 91 strikeouts over 16 starts this season, his second with Chicago.
