ARLINGTON -- The Rangers optioned Shawn Tolleson to Triple-A Round Rock on Friday to make room on the roster for recently acquired right-hander Lucas Harrell, who will make his first start for Texas on Sunday.
Tolleson began the season as the Rangers' closer, but he was removed from the role in favor of Sam Dyson on May 18. The 28-year-old righty had a 7.68 ERA and a 1.73 WHIP in 37 games this season.
