A's recall IF/OF Muncy from Nashville; option RHP Hahn to Nashville

The Oakland A's recalled infielder/outfielder Max Muncy from Triple-A Nashville and optioned right-handed pitcher Jesse Hahn to Nashville, the club announced today.

Muncy joins the A's for the third time this year and is batting .257 with two doubles and two RBI in 14 games with Oakland. He went 2-for-5 (.400) during his first stint from May 17 to 24 and batted .233 in 12 games during his second stay from June 10 to 27. The 25-year-old left-handed hitter is batting .251 with eight home runs and 26 RBI in 64 games with Nashville. He hit .224 with a home run and six RBI in 20 games following his June 28 option. Muncy has appeared in 10 games in right field and one at third base with the A's and 28 games in left field, 13 at third base, eight in right field, three at first base and three at second base with the Sounds.

Hahn was recalled from Nashville yesterday and had a no decision in a start against Tampa Bay. He allowed a run on four hits and a walk in 7.2 innings in the A's 3-2 win and is now 2-4 with a 5.53 ERA in eight starts over three stints with Oakland. Hahn is 1-5 with a 3.63 ERA in 12 starts with Nashville.
