Indians promote RHP Cody Anderson; place RHP Joe Colon on 15-day DL

The Cleveland Indians today announced the following roster moves relative to the 2016 Major League roster:
 
Recalled RHP Cody Anderson (#56) from Triple-A Columbus.
 
Placed RHP Joe Colon on the 15-day Disabled List with right shoulder inflammation, retroactive to July 19.
 
Anderson, 25, is beginning his sixth stint with Cleveland in 2016. So far with Cleveland this year he has gone 1-4 with a 7.48 in 9 games/8 starts (43.1IP, 63H, 36R/ER, 8BB, 36SO). Around his time with the Indians he has posted a mark of 0-2 with a 4.32 ERA in 6 starts for the Triple-A Columbus Clippers (25.0IP, 27H, 12ER, 9BB, 30SO). He was on the Minor League D.L. from June 13-July 4 with right elbow tightness and has made 2 starts since being activated (5.2IP, 6H, 2R/1ER, 1BB, 8SO). His last stint on the Major League roster came on July 17 with his last Major League outing coming June 7 at Seattle.
 
Colon last pitched on July 16 at Minnesota, battling shoulder soreness since taking the loss that night in the 11th inning. So far over his first three Major League appearances, July 8-16, he has posted an ERA of 2.45 (1ER/3.2IP).
