D-backs recall Zack Godley from Triple-A Reno

PHOENIX - The Arizona Diamondbacks (@Dbacks) recalled RHP Zack Godley (@godleyzt) from Triple-A Reno, as announced by D-backs Sr. Vice President & General Manager Dave Stewart. After Sunday's game, LHP Edwin Escobar was optioned to Reno.

Godley, 26, has gone 2-0 with a 5.28 ERA (9 ER in 15.1 IP) in 6 games (2 starts) with the D-backs this season. In 8 Major League starts, he is 6-1 with a 3.54 ERA (16 ER in 40.2 IP), giving him the most wins by any pitcher in team history through 8 career starts.

The 6-foot-3, 240-pounder was 4-6 with a 3.62 ERA (33 ER in 82.0 IP) in 15 games (14 starts) with Double-A Mobile and Reno in 2016.

Godley will start for Arizona tonight vs. Toronto.
