Pirates Charities Night on ROOT SPORTS, Star Wars Night, and more highlight homestand

The Bucs return to PNC Park for the eighth homestand of the season, an eight-game stay where the team will host the Milwaukee Brewers, Philadelphia Phillies and Seattle Mariners.

This homestand is highlighted by Fireworks Night on Thursday, July 21, Pirates Charities Night on ROOT SPORTS on Friday, July 22 and Star Wars Night on Wednesday, July 27.

• Pups in the Park: Fans can enjoy Bucco baseball with their pooch as the Pirates present one of 10 Pup Nights, presented by Rachael Ray Nutrish, at PNC Park. • Block Party: Tonight the Pirates and Baierl Automotive will host their Friday Block Party on Federal Street. Fans can party on the street with live music, along with food and beer sales. Saturday, July 23, 2016 -- Pirates vs. Philadelphia Phillies (4:05 p.m.)

• Miracle League Fantasy Camp: Today from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Pirates Charities and Baseball Fantasy Camp for Kids partner in partnership with Stepping Stones and the WV Black Bears, host a Miracle League Fantasy Camp. The event will take place with the Miracle League of Morgantown, WV, at the Miracle League Field in Morgantown's Monongalia County Ballpark. Pirates prospects from the West Virginia Black Bears will be in attendance to assist with teaching fundamentals and each participating player will receive a custom Pirates Jersey, a Pirates cap, and a Pirates gift bag.

• Fun at Bat: The Pirates have teamed up with USA Baseball to help launch their new "Fun at Bat" program in the Pittsburgh area. Fun At Bat aims to provide children with a fun and active experience that also reinforces positive characteristics such as teamwork, honesty and responsibility. The USA Baseball developed curriculum is for T-Ball aged children and aims to keep all kids more active and involved while still teaching the fundamentals of baseball. • PLAY Clinic at PNC Park: The Pittsburgh Pirates Training Staff and Medical Team are hosting a free sports educational workshop called PLAY at PNC Park for youth ages 8 to 16 years old from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. The PLAY- Promoting a Lifetime of Activity for Youth- program is an initiative of the Professional Baseball Athletic Trainers Society, The Taylor Hooton Foundation, and Major League Baseball Charities. • Pirates Charities Golf Classic: Today is the Pirates Charities 11th annual Golf Classic, presented by Allegheny Health Network, at the Fox Chapel Golf Club. OMs in the Outfield

On Sunday, September 11, the Pirates will host the 3rd annual OMs in the Outfield Yoga Day at PNC Park. This unique yoga practice will be held in the morning starting at 8:30 a.m. in the outfield. Wins For Kids

Pirates Charities, Pirates Manager Clint Hurdle and his wife, Karla, announced the return of the "Wins for Kids" fundraising campaign for the 2016 season, in partnership with ROOT SPORTS™.
