Washington Nationals Homestand Highlights vs. Pittsburgh Pirates (July 15-17), Los Angeles Dodgers (July 19-21) & San Diego Padres (July 22-24)

The upcoming nine-game homestand features two exciting giveaway items, a Dusty Baker Bobblehead and Bryce Harper Kids Jersey. In addition, Nationals Park will host a ceremony honoring the newest members of the Washington DC Sports Hall of Fame, a celebration of the Nationals Youth Baseball Academy and the third installment of the 2016 Military Branch Days, U.S. Marine Corps Day.

FRIDAY, JULY 15

  • Neighborhood Night: The Nationals dedicate one game each year to celebrate residents of the communities around the ballpark. The team works closely with local community partners to provide discounted ticket offers and participation in pregame festivities. Every month, community leaders and Nationals staff meet to discuss issues and citizen engagement plans. These discussions and the hard work of local leaders ensure that professional baseball is an asset to Southwest and nearby Southeast DC communities.
  • Budweiser Terrace Entertainment: Darcy Dawn will be performing at the Budweiser Terrace beginning at 4:30 p.m. As always, the Budweiser Terrace will feature daily happy hour specials, including $5 beers from the time gates open until 35 minutes before first pitch. 
  • McDonald's Smoothie Sampling: McDonald's will provide complimentary smoothie samples outside the Center Field Gates on N Street SE as fans enter the ballpark. Available while supplies last.

SATURDAY, JULY 16

  • Nationals/Inova Sports Medicine Youth Baseball Clinic: In conjunction with Inova Health System, the Nationals host a series of youth clinics as part of the team's efforts to increase participation and interest in baseball and softball. Children ages eight to 14 participate in the free clinics, which include on-field instruction by Nationals coaching staff, a meet-and-greet with a player and four tickets to a Nationals home game. Registration is not open to the public.
  • Budweiser Terrace Entertainment: DJ Stylus Chris will be performing, as well as co-hosting karaoke at the Budweiser Terrace beginning at 4:30 p.m.

SUNDAY, JULY 17

  • DC Sports Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony: The 11 new members of the Washington DC Sports Hall of Fame will be honored during a pregame ceremony. The inductees were selected based on their outstanding contributions to the world of sports, thereby bringing honor and recognition to the nation's capital. This year's inductees include Christine Brennan, Marco Etcheverry, Patrick Ewing, Frank Herzog, Earl Lloyd, Dexter Manley, Missy Meharg, Bob Milloy, Hymie Perlo, Phil Perlo and Harold Solomon.   • Nationals Youth Baseball Academy Day: The Nationals Youth Baseball Academy will celebrate the children, families and partners that have supported the program that changes the lives of boys and girls living in Washington, D.C. Before the game against the Pirates, Academy Scholar-Athletes and supporters will be honored on the field. They'll help greet the team, throw out the ceremonial first pitch and make memories at the ballpark. Throughout the game, fans will learn more about the impact the team is having on kids, as well as how to get more involved.   • Kids Run the Bases: All kids ages four through 12 will have the opportunity to run the bases after Sunday home games, weather permitting.   • Uncork for a Cause: Nationals LHP Gio Gonzalez is hosting Uncork for a Cause to benefit the Washington Nationals Dream Foundation and Big Blue Baseball. Gonzalez and other special guests will gather from 7-9 p.m. at Claudia's Steakhouse on K Street. The exclusive evening also serves as the release party for Gonzalez's very own 2013 Sonoma Reserve Red wine, available only at the event.   • Dusty Baker Bobblehead: The first 25,000 fans who enter the ballpark through ALL GATES will receive a bobblehead featuring Manager Dusty Baker. Tickets for Tuesday's game are available at nationals.com/tickets.

WEDNESDAY, JULY 20

  • Military Branch Days Delivered by UPS -- U.S. Marine Corps Day: U.S. Marine Corps Day delivered by UPS, the third of the 2016 Military Branch Days, honors and celebrates the U.S. Marine Corps. Representatives from the U.S. Marine Corps will participate in pregame ceremonies and be special guests of the Nationals for the Salute to Service. Highlights will include:
    • Battle Color Detachment: Silent Drill Platoon performing in the outfield
    • Battle Color Detachment: The U.S. Marine Corps Color Guard presenting our nation's colors
    • 150 Marines from Henderson Hall, Patuxent River Naval Base; Marine Forces Cyber and Marine Corps Base, Quantico, lining the field for the National Anthem performance
    • U.S. Marine Corps Drum and Bugle Corps performing the National Anthem
    • Lt. Col. RoseAnn Lynch (Ret.) performing God Bless America
    • Ceremonial first pitch thrown by General Robert Neller, Commandant of the U.S. Marine Corps
    • Col. Tyler Zagurski, Commanding Officer, Marine Barracks Washington, delivering the game ball to the game's starting pitcher

  • Teachers Appreciation Day #2: As a thank you for their hard work in the community, the Nationals host two days dedicated to all teachers, administrators and school employees in the D.C. area. This is the second Teachers Appreciation event of the season. Attendees will enjoy discounted tickets loaded with concession credit and will receive a Nationals beverage tumbler (while supplies last).   • PLAY Clinic: Developed by the Professional Baseball Athletic Trainers Society in 2004, PLAY (Promoting a Lifetime of Activity for Youth) is designed to encourage youth throughout the country to be active, eat right, sustain a healthy lifestyle and stay away from performance-enhancing drugs. During the clinic, local youth participate in baseball training and receive lessons on health and conditioning from Nationals players and trainers. Registration is not open to the public.
  • Budweiser Terrace Entertainment: District Trivia, LLC will host Trivia Night at the Budweiser Terrace starting at 4:30 p.m.

THURSDAY, JULY 21

  • Summer Camp Day: The Nationals will welcome local summer camps, recreation programs and daycares to Nationals Park for the annual Summer Camp Day. Over 5,000 area children are expected to attend. FRIDAY, JULY 22

  • Anthony's Academy All-Stars: Nationals 3B Anthony Rendon will host a group of scholar-athletes from the Washington Nationals Youth Baseball Academy -- where Anthony sits on the Board of Directors -- at Nationals Park for an opportunity to watch a Major League game. As part of this season-long program, the group will enjoy a private meet-and-greet with Anthony, special batting practice viewing, tickets to the game and NatsBucks.   • Scout Day #3: Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Brownies, Cub Scouts, Daisies, Eagle Scouts and other groups from across the region are invited to Nationals Park for Scout Day. PARKING, SAFETY AND TRANSPORTATION
Metro's Safe Track Plan started Saturday, June 4, and is expected to cause delays throughout the Metro system. Please visit http://wmata.com/rail/safetrack.cfm regularly for the most updated Safe Track information and allow extra time traveling to and from Nationals Park.

Visit nationals.com/waytogo for information on parking and additional routes to Nationals Park. To receive up-to-date WMATA service notifications on a mobile device, fans are encouraged to register for Alert DC at http://hsema.dc.gov/page/alertdc.

As part of Major League Baseball's ongoing safety enhancements at all ballparks, Nationals Park introduced walk-through metal detectors before the 2015 season. These safety precautions will continue throughout the 2016 season. The Nationals have added metal detectors at all entrances, including Third Base, as well as the ADA First Base Accessible entrance. Fans are encouraged to allow plenty of extra time when getting to their seats.

Fans traveling to the park should be aware of the many new construction projects underway in the surrounding area. To ensure safe crossings, please be mindful of signage and directions given by public safety officers.
