Homestand highlights: July 18-27

Mizzou Night, OKC Thunder Night and Christmas in July Featured in Homestand; also T-Shirt Tuesday and Davis Bobblehead

After a quick roadtrip, the 2015 World Champion Kansas City Royals will return home for their first homestand following the All-Star break to host the Cleveland Indians (July 18-20), Texas Rangers (July 22-24) and Los Angeles Angels (July 25-27). Theme Tickets are still available to many great events, including Business Day at The K (July 20), Mizzou Night (July 22), Oklahoma City Thunder Night (July 23) and Christmas in July (July 25). Monday, July 18 -- Cleveland Indians vs. Royals, 7:15 p.m.

  • C" You at The K presented by Rodrock Development -- General Manager Dayton Moore, together with the "C" You in the Major Leagues Foundation (CYITML) and the Royals, is hosting area groups at select games this season. The special guests from Kansas RBI will watch batting practice, enjoy dinner with Moore and watch the Royals game. The CYITML Foundation was founded in January 2014 to support youth baseball, education, faith-based organizations and events and families in crisis throughout the greater Kansas City area and beyond. Darol Rodrock Foundation was developed to help children in foster care overcome challenges and realize the good in them and their future.

  • Student Night presented by INK Magazine -- Outfield Plaza or Hy-Vee View Level tickets are available for Wednesday home games for youth and students with a valid ID at the Kauffman Stadium Box Office for just $10. A special pregame Happy Hour, a hot dog and 12-ounce beer or 24-ounce soda for just $8, will be available at the Boulevard Grill (located by the Outfield Experience stage) from the time gates open until 15 minutes before first pitch.
  • Local Music Showcase presented by INK Magazine -- Catch a free pregame concert on us! Every Wednesday Student Night also features live local music prior to the game in the Outfield Experience. Friday, July 22 --Texas Rangers vs. Royals, 7:15 p.m.

  • Art Piece on Sale -- Artist, William Rose, who painted the celebration art piece combining an iconic image of the Royals World Series rally and the on-field celebration after winning the 2015 World Series will be at The K to sell and sign prints of the piece. Rose, with his various works, will be in the Diamond Club throughout the evening. Fans who do not have Diamond Club tickets will be able to purchase reproductions of the piece in the Majestic Team Store and Royals Authentics.
  • Mizzou Night -- Supporters of the University of Missouri can join fellow Tiger fans for a night of big-league action presented by FOX Sports Kansas City and Rally House. The first 5,000 Mizzou fans who bring their Mizzou Night theme ticket to Gate A will receive a limited edition black-and-gold KC Royals Mizzou cap (photo attached).   • Summer Fireworks -- Fans can enjoy a spectacular fireworks show, presented by Hy-Vee and Pepsi, after the game.

Saturday, July 23 -- Texas Rangers vs. Royals, 7:15 p.m.

  • Oklahoma City Thunder Night -- Fans of the NBA's Oklahoma City Thunder can come out to The K for a night of baseball. Thunder entertainment, including Rumble the Bison and the Thunder Girls, will be on hand to connect with fans throughout the ballpark. Thunder forward and former University of Kansas basketball star Nick Collison is scheduled to throw out the first pitch. Fans can purchase Theme Tickets for the evening. Fans who bring their Oklahoma City Thunder Theme Ticket to Gate A will receive a special Royals hat complete with the Thunder logo and colors (photo attached).   • Wade Davis Bobblehead -- The third of the 2015 Commemorative Postseason Bobblehead Series, Royals Closer and All-Star Wade Davis, will be handed out to the first 20,000 fans, courtesy of Creighton University. The bobblehead replicates the moment the Royals won the World Series (photo attached).
  • Family FunDay Sunday presented by Academy Sports + Outdoors -- Each Sunday home game features pregame interactive kids entertainment plus face painters and caricature or balloon artists in the Outfield Experience. Before the game, fans can head out to the Outfield Experience to get a photo taken with Santa, have their face painted and more! Fans who purchase the Christmas in July Theme Ticket will get a Royals-themed "ugly sweater" t-shirt and can be picked up at Gate B (photo attached). Toys for Tots will also be on hand to collect new and unused toys to help kids in need. Fans can drop off the toys in marked bins outside of each entrance.
