Alfaro, No. 87 on the Top 100, went deep for the third time in five games for Double-A Reading on Friday night, finishing 1-for-4 at the plate. The 23-year-old backstop is hitting an even .300 on the season, with 10 home runs and 44 RBIs through 52 games. Alfaro has been particularly hot of late as well, hitting .319 with six extra-base hits and seven RBIs during his current eight-game hitting streak.
Blach recorded the third shutout of his career in his most recent start for Triple-A Sacramento, tossing nine innings of six-hit ball with six strikeouts against Las Vegas. Overall, the 25-year-old lefty owns a 4.23 ERA in 95 2/3 innings (16 starts) this season in his second tour of the Pacific Coast League, where he posted a 4.46 ERA over a career-high 165 1/3 frames (27 starts) in 2015.
Raudes has posted a combined 11 scoreless innings between his two starts against Class A Asheville this season, with seven hits allowed, one walk and 13 strikeouts in that span. In his latest matchup against the Tourists, the 18-year-old right-hander established season highs in innings pitched (six) and strikeouts (eight).
Lambert, the Rockies' second-round Draft pick in 2015, has an 0-2 record in three starts against Greenville this season, despite posting a 1.84 ERA with a 17-1 strikeout-to-walk ratio over 14 2/3 innings in that span. The 19-year-old righty has yet to allow more than three earned runs in a start, as he enters the day with the fifth-best ERA (2.38) among qualified hurlers in the South Atlantic League.
