ST. PETERSBURG -- The Rays designated outfielder Jaff Decker for assignment following Tuesday night's 8-2 loss to the Red Sox.

Outfielder Brandon Guyer will be activated off the 15-day disabled list before Wednesday afternoon's finale against the Red Sox.

Guyer went on the 15-day DL on June 5 with a left hamstring strain. He is hitting .271 with six home runs and 14 RBIs in 40 games. Guyer leads the American League in being hit by a pitch, which has happened to him 15 times.

Decker was selected from Triple-A Durham on June 15. He hit .138 with no home runs and no RBIs in 10 games.
