Marte has now hopped over McCutchen, and ranks eighth with 893,952 votes, while McCutchen has dropped to ninth with 816,079 votes.
Marte has the strongest argument for a bid, though the Pirates have gone through a slump in June, because of his consistent play, hitting .368 this month. He currently ranks third in the Majors with 20 stolen bases.
