News & Notes about the A's upcoming homestand

On Wednesday, June 29, the Oakland A's will welcome the San Francisco Giants to Oakland Alameda Coliseum for a two-game series before playing host to the Pittsburgh Pirates during Independence Day Weekend. The five-game homestand includes a Salute to Armed Forces Fireworks show, presented by PlayStation, on Saturday, July 2 and a MLB Network Tote Bag giveaway for 20,000 fans on Sunday, July 3.

Salute to Armed Forces Fireworks, presented by PlayStation: Following the game against the Pirates on Saturday, July 2, the A's will honor America's servicemen and women during the Salute to Armed Forces Fireworks, presented by PlayStation. Fans can enjoy the show from the outfield grass (space permitting).

CSN A's Authentic Fan Friday: Every Friday home game, fans in the value deck, sections 316 - 318, will receive a giveaway, a personalized photo booth card, $6 food or merchandise value, and more. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit

Friday Family Pack: Friday night at the ballpark is made for families with the Friday Family Pack. Fans can get four plaza level tickets, four Coliseum hot dogs, four medium sodas, and four bags of peanuts for just $60. For more information, visit

Cache Creek Saturdays: Every Saturday, fans have the chance to take home an autographed baseball, courtesy of Cache Creek Casino Resort. Fans who find the autographed Cache Creek Casino Resort advertisement in Athletics, the official team magazine, will win an autographed baseball.

MLB Network Tote Bag: Before the game on Sunday, July 3, 20,000 fans will receive a MLB Network tote bag.

A's Kids Club: Kids Club members have the chance to be selected to participate in in-game activities, including "Water Kid" during select Friday games, "Steal the Base" during select Saturday games, and "Guest P.A. Announcer" during select Sunday games. Membership kits can be purchased online at or at Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday home games behind Section 113.

"This Bud's For You Inning of Winning" 2016 All-Star Game Trip: A's fan Cristin Perez of Suisun City will be recognized before the Thursday, June 30 game as the lucky winner of the 2016 All-Star Game trip, presented by Anheuser-Busch. The trip package includes roundtrip airfare, hotel, and jewel event tickets to the Home Run Derby and All-Star Game. 

Community Relations

50/50 Raffle: The Oakland A's Community Fund hosts a 50/50 Raffle at select games throughout the season. One fan will win half of the gross proceeds raised at each game, with the remaining proceeds benefiting the Community Fund. Ticket sales run from when stadium gates open through the bottom of the 6th inning. Fans can purchase tickets at the kiosk located at section 217 or from a roaming ticket seller. The winner will be announced in the eighth inning.

Little A's: On Sunday, July 3, as part of the Little A's program, 1,000 youth and their chaperones from nonprofit organizations will have the opportunity to attend the A's game free of charge. In addition to a game ticket, each child receives a pair of A's themed socks and child-admission pass to the Oakland Zoo. The Little A's program is presented by Bank of America and supported by the Oakland Zoo, the Clorox Foundation, and Capitol Corridor.

Take the Field with the A's: The Take the Field with the A's program gives youth baseball and softball teams the chance to live out their Major League dreams. On Sunday, July 3, youth players from a local baseball or softball team will join Oakland A's players on the field during the National Anthem.

A's Community Fund Silent Auction: Every Saturday and Sunday home game (and other select games), the A's Community Fund hosts a silent auction featuring signed and unsigned A's memorabilia as well as game-used items. The silent auctions are located in the A's fan center behind section 120 and end with the last out in the bottom of the fifth inning.

Food Bank Wednesdays: On Wednesday, June 29 (and select Wednesdays throughout the season), volunteers will be on-site to help collect cans of food and monetary donations before the game to benefit the Alameda County Food Bank. With every five cans donated or $5 contribution, fans will receive a buy one get one free ticket voucher for a future game.
