Texas Rangers announce partnership with Uber

Uber lot added to provide easy drop-off and pick-up at Globe Life Park

The Texas Rangers today announced that the club has entered into a partnership with Uber that will make it easier for fans to arrive and depart from Globe Life Park in Arlington.

Beginning with this homestand, the Rangers have launched a new close-in Uber Lot at Globe Life Park in Arlington. The area is located in the front of Parking Lot C at the corner of Randol Mill Road and Ballpark Way just across from the Centerfield Gate.

With the new lot, fans will have easy access to utilize Uber in getting to and from Rangers games at Globe Life Park. When fans contact Uber and confirm their location at Globe Life Park, the Uber app will automatically direct them to the Lot C location. The lot is clearly marked with distinctive Uber signage.

The Rangers will be making public address announcements during games as well as using social media digital assets to promote the new service.

The Lot C Uber Lot will be open beginning five hours before game time and will remain open for two hours after every game.

"We are excited to kick off the summer with this partnership that will make it even easier for both rider and drivers to support the Rangers," said Beth Huddleston, Uber Dallas General Manager. "Whether you need a safe ride home after enjoying everything the park has to offer or you want to skip the hassle of parking, we want to connect fans to a safe and affordable ride when they need it most."

Uber's mission is to make transportation as reliable as running water-everywhere, for everyone. We started in 2009 to solve a simple problem: how do you get a ride at the touch of a button? Six years and over a billion trips later, we've started tackling an even greater challenge: reducing congestion and pollution in our cities by getting more people into fewer cars.
