Brewers at the plate: Kevin Mench hit a two-run homer, his first of Spring Training, in the sixth inning. He also had a single in the fifth and scored a run and singled in the eighth. Prince Fielder had a two-run double in the seventh. He also singled to lead off the sixth and scored on Mench's home run.

Royals at the plate: Joey Gathright had an inside-the-park homer in the fifth. Gathright also singled in the first, walked in the third and stole two bases, bringing his Spring Training total to five steals. John Buck singled and doubled. Emil Brown stroked a two-run double in the sixth.

Brewers on the mound: Jeff Suppan gave up six runs -- three earned -- on eight hits while striking out four and walking two. Matt Wise struck out the only batter he faced.

Royals on the mound: Zack Greinke allowed three runs, but only one earned, on four hits. He walked one and struck out seven. Joakim Soria gave up two runs on two hits, including a home run, in one inning. He struck out two.

Cactus League records: Brewers 10-15; Royals 9-14

Up next: Brandon Duckworth will start for the Royals against the Padres at Peoria Stadium at 9:05 p.m. CT on Monday. Claudio Vargas will start for the Brewers against the Diamondbacks at 3:05 p.m.
