A's at the plate: Nick Swisher hit his third Cactus League homer, a three-run shot in the five-run fourth. He was one of four A's to have multihit games, including Shannon Stewart, Antonio Perez and Donnie Murphy, who knocked in runs in each of his first two trips to the plate..

Diamondbacks at the plate: Chad Tracy was 3-for-3, with a single, a double and a solo homer, his third of the season. Mark Reynolds hit his first Cactus League homer with one on in the eighth to bring the D-backs within two.

A's on the mound: Jason Windsor had a solid start, lasting four innings and giving up one run on a solo homer. He struck out two, walked one and gave up a total of four hits. Mike Mitchell pitched a scoreless inning of relief, a walk his only blemish.

Diamondbacks on the mound: Livan Hernandez was roughed up for his second consecutive Cactus League outing. Hernandez gave up seven runs on 11 hits, striking out four and walking none. Jorge Julio pitched a scoreless fifth and Casey Daigle pitched a pair of goose eggs, yielding only a hit and a walk.

Cactus League records: A's 8-9-1; Diamondbacks 12-6.

Up next: The A's host the Padres Monday, with Esteban Loaiza making the start for Oakland. The D-backs travel to Peoria, Ariz., where lefty Doug Davis will take on the Mariners.
