The Red Sox have agreed to terms with second-round pick C.J. Chatham, according to a source.

The club has not confirmed the signing, which a source said is for $1.1 million. Slot value for the 51st overall pick was $1,232,800.

Chatham is a 6-foot-3, 185-pound shortstop out of Florida Atlantic who hit .357/.554/.422 with eight home runs and 50 RBIs en route to being named First Team All-American by Louisville Slugger.

Although there were questions surrounding some collegiate middle infielders in this Draft on whether they could stay at shortstop, Chatham is thought to have the arm and range to remain at his natural position.
