D-backs recall Peter O'Brien from Triple-A Reno; option Edwin Escobar to Reno

PHOENIX - The Arizona Diamondbacks (@Dbacks) recalled OF Peter O'Brien from Triple-A Reno and optioned LHP Edwin Escobar to Reno, as announced by D-backs Sr. Vice President & General Manager Dave Stewart.

O'Brien, 25, leads all Minor Leaguers in home runs (17) and total bases (142), while hitting .330 (70-for-212) with 13 doubles, 52 RBI and a 1.025 OPS in 51 games with the Aces this season. In his last 10 games, he is batting .432 (19-for-45) with 4 doubles, 5 homers and 21 RBI.

O'Brien, who entered the season ranked by Baseball America as the club's No. 7 Prospect, hit .284 with 35 doubles, 26 home runs and 107 RBI for Reno in 2015. He also appeared in 8 games with the D-backs, going 4-for-10 (.400) with 1 double, 1 homer and 3 RBI.

Escobar, 24, made 2 starts with Arizona this season after being claimed off waivers from the Boston Red Sox on April 29.
