Wells Fargo and the Oakland Athletics today announced that Wells Fargo will sponsor the team's Pride Night set for Tuesday, June 14, at the Oakland Alameda Coliseum.
A's Pride Night, presented by Wells Fargo, includes a pregame party in the Eastside Club open to all fans, beginning two hours prior to the A's taking on the Texas Rangers at 7:05 p.m. The Pride Night special ticket includes an A's Pride rainbow headband and partial proceeds from each ticket will benefit AIDS Project of the East Bay, Our Space, and Rainbow Community Center. The University of San Francisco Head Women's Basketball Coach Jennifer Azzi is scheduled to throw out the ceremonial first pitch.
"We are proud to expand our relationship with Wells Fargo to include our Pride Night," said A's President Michael Crowley. "Our second annual event celebrates diversity, promotes equality, and creates community; Wells Fargo embodies all of these characteristics. Through this partnership, and in conjunction with the A's Community Fund, we are also able to provide needed support to three Bay Area LGBTQ nonprofits."
"Wells Fargo's commitment and service to the LGBT community dates back more than 25 years," said Micky Randhawa EVP and Greater Bay Region president at Wells Fargo. "The LGBT community contributes in so many ways to the richness of the Bay Area including a culture which fosters inclusion and respect. It is our honor to support this event."
