Major League Baseball will host a free, one-day umpire camp at the Washington Nationals Youth Baseball Academy on Saturday, June 11th. Staff for the event will include many accomplished former MLB Umpires, current MLB Supervisors and Observers, as well as Minor League Baseball Umpires. Among those participating will be Charlie Reliford, Ed Rapuano, Bruce Froemming, Rich Rieker and Cris Jones.
This is MLB's third free, one-day umpire camp of 2016 for anyone interested in umpiring in baseball and softball, including those aiming to begin professional careers. The 2016 Umpire Camps will culminate with the MLBUC Professional Mini-Camp in Ft. Myers, Florida in December.
