Giants on the mound:
Starter Matt Morris needed 56 pitches to get through 1 2/3 innings of work, allowing seven earned runs on five hits, four walks and a wild pitch. Only 27 of those pitches went for strikes. After that, six Giants pitchers limited the Brewers to one run on six hits.
Brewers on the mound: Ben Sheets, Milwaukee's likely Opening Day starter, allowed two runs on two hits and a walk in the first inning, but settled down in a six-pitch, 1-2-3 second inning. The Giants fought back to take the lead in the fourth inning against right-handed reliever Dennis Sarfate, who was tagged for three runs including the one that scored on Myers' walk.
Cactus League records:
Giants 2-1, Brewers 2-2
The Giants are on the road again Sunday for a game against the Mariners in Peoria, where lefty Noah Lowry will face Jeff Weaver. The Brewers travel to Tempe on Sunday for a game against the Angels. Left-hander and 2006 All-Star Chris Capuano is scheduled to make his spring debut against the Angels' Kelvim Escobar.
