Phillies Go Retro! Top 5 Things to Know for Brewers Series, June 2-5

Starting Thursday, June 2, the Phillies will host the Milwaukee Brewers for a four-game series at Citizens Bank Park (June 2-5). Take a look at some of the must-know highlights when coming to the ballpark.

  1.     Hatfield Phillies Franks Dollar Dog Night, Greek Heritage Celebration, & #TBT Emoji Night on Thursday.
  • Hot dogs are a $1.00 at any concession stand. Plus, be on the lookout for Smiley the Pig.
  • Enjoy the Phillies 3rd annual Greek Heritage Celebration! A taste of Greece can be found by Section 106. Left Field Gate Plaza performances begin at 5:00 p.m., and on-field performances begin at 6:30 p.m. A special Theme Night Ticket offer is also available here.
  • It's also #TBT Emoji T-Shirt Night. This special Theme Night Ticket gets you a t-shirt of your favorite former players as emojis, designed to look like they did in their playing days.

Ashburn Alley opens at 5:05 p.m., all gates open at 5:35 p.m. Game time is 7:05 p.m. and will be broadcast on Comcast SportsNet.

  1.     Friday, June 3rd, is Phillies Retro Night and we're throwing it back to the 1970s! Wear your 70's best and come to the 6:30 p.m. Retro Party.

  • At 6:30 p.m., stop by the Phillies Retro Party in Ashburn Alley and have some fun with characters from the era. Mini Kiss - a KISS tribute band - will perform behind Section 147 at 6:00 p.m. and later sign autographs at McFadden's.
  • Making the ceremonial first pitch will be former Phillie Jim Lonborg. Also, players from the 1970's - Phillies' Larry Christenson, Eagles' Vince Papale & Sixers' World B. Free - will change the bases in the 3rd inning. Broadcast pioneer Joe Pellegrino will sing the National Anthem.

Ashburn Alley opens at 5:05 p.m., all gates open at 5:35 p.m. Game time is 7:05 p.m. and will be broadcast on NBC10.

  1.     Saturday features IBEW Local 98 Aaron Nola T-Shirt + Topps Baseball Card; Plus Youth Baseball Celebration & Pre-Game Parade!

On Saturday, June 4 the Phillies will hold a Youth Baseball Celebration with youth baseball teams parading on the field pre-game.

Plus, all fans will receive an oversized Aaron Nola Topps baseball card and all kids 14 and under will receive an IBEW Local 98 Aaron Nola T-Shirt.

All gates open at 1:05 p.m. Game time is 3:05 p.m. The game will be broadcast on Comcast SportsNet.

  1.     Two South Philadelphia teachers honored as Rothman Hometown Heroes on-field Saturday for saving a fellow teacher's life.

Also on Saturday, Christie Shaw, a teacher at Francis Scott Key Elementary School, and Maria Landi, a secretary, will be honored as Rothman Hometown Heroes and will make the 3rd inning base change together. These two elementary school employees administered CPR to a fellow teacher and helped save her life.

  1.     1970s Retro Sunday! Mike Schmidt & Greg Luzinski to make ceremonial first pitch. Plus, free socks.

On Sunday, June 5, all fans will receive Sports 4 All Retro Socks! On the field, the Phillies and Brewers will wear their retro 1976 uniforms and PhanaVision will have more vintage fun! Be on the lookout for Phillies legends Mike Schmidt and Greg Luzinski to make the ceremonial first pitches and sports anchor legend Joe Pellegrino will be singing God Bless America.
