Pipeline preview: Morimando aims to remain undefeated for RubberDucks

Here's a look at top prospects to watch in Tuesday's Minor League action:

Hitter to watch: Alex Dickerson (Padres No. 22)

Look out Jackie Bradley Jr. Dickerson extended his hitting streak to 28 games on Monday in Triple-A El Paso's 12-0 blowout of Omaha, going 2-for-4 with three RBIs. He's hitting a robust .442 (46-for-104) with 15 extra-base hits including six home runs and 32 RBIs during the streak, which began back on April 18 before his eight-game stint in the big leagues with the Padres in early May. He'll look to extend his streak to 29 games when El Paso hosts Sacramento at 8:35 p.m. ET in a game that can be seen on MiLB.TV.

Pitcher to watch: Shawn Morimando (Indians' No. 16)

Morimando is 8-0 on the season and has yet to allow more than two earned runs in any of his 10 starts for Double-A Akron. The 23-year-old lefty is pacing the Minor Leagues in wins and owns an Eastern League-leading in 1.65 ERA in 60 innings this season after he posted a 3.18 ERA over 158 2/3 frames (28 starts) for the RubberDucks in 2015. Watch Morimando attempt to win his ninth game when he takes the mound against the Altoona Curve at 6:35 p.m. ET on MiLB.TV.

Duel of the day: Jose Berrios (Twins' No. 1) vs. Chad Kuhl (Pirates' No. 16), Rochester at Indianapolis (7:05 p.m. ET on MiLB.TV)

Berrios, No. 15 on the Top 100, has been effective but inconsistent after being demoted to Triple-A Rochester from the Major Leagues, where he allowed 17 earned runs in 15 innings over four starts with the Twins. The 22-year-old righty has given up just three earned runs in two starts since rejoining the Red Wings but also has continued to struggle with his command, with seven walks in 11 innings.

Top Prospects: Berrios, MIN

Kuhl, on the other hand, has been one of the top pitchers at the Triple-A level this season, posting a stellar 1.03 ERA and a 0.82 WHIP in 52 2/3 innings for Indianapolis. The 2013 ninth-rounder has yet to allow more than two earned runs in any of his nine starts for Indianapolis, and he's completed at least six innings in six straight starts.
