Greenwald to broadcast spring games

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- Veteran broadcaster Doug Greenwald successfully entered the online world last spring when he audiocast play-by-play of Giants Cactus League contests on

Now it's a tradition, as Greenwald, voice of the Triple-A Fresno Grizzlies, will announce 16 weekday games on the site beginning March 2 when the Giants host Milwaukee at Scottsdale Stadium.

His broadcasts will supplement 15 other spring games carried by flagship station KNBR and the Giants radio network.

The audiocasts will be available through Gameday Audio on, and for an additional fee of $14.95 listeners can hear Greenwald's commentary along with all regular-season games, with a choice of home or away feeds.

Son of former Giants broadcaster Hank Greenwald, Doug enters his 12th season of baseball and fifth with the Grizzlies. He is a former winner of the Minor League Broadcaster of the Year Award.
