Blue Jays activate Travis

The Toronto Blue Jays have activated 2B Devon Travis from the 15-day disabled list and optioned L/RHP Pat Venditte to Buffalo (AAA) of the International League.

Travis, 25, began the season rehabbing his injured left shoulder after off-season surgery. The West Palm Beach, FL native has appeared in nine minor league games (Dunedin-4, Buffalo-5) on his rehab assignment, batting .306 (11-36) with four doubles and eight RBI. In 2015 Travis posted a .304 average with 18 doubles, eight home runs and a .859 OPS in 62 games, earning AL rookie of the month honours in April.
