Texas Rangers option LHP Andrew Faulkner to Round Rock

Club to make corresponding roster move on Friday

The Texas Rangers today announced that left-handed pitcher Andrew Faulkner has been optioned to Triple-A Round Rock of the Pacific Coast League.

The Rangers will make a corresponding move to replace Faulkner on the active roster on Friday, when the club opens a three-game series in Houston.

Faulkner had allowed 3 hits and 3 runs/1 ER in 1.1 innings over 3 games since his recall from Round Rock on May 10. Overall, the left-hander has a 7.94 ERA (5 ER/5.2 IP) in 8 relief appearances in 2 stints with the Rangers in 2016.
