Marlins to host Washington and Tampa Bay from May 20-24

Homestand to feature two fan giveaways, Cuban Heritage Night and Japanese Heritage Day

The Miami Marlins begin a five-game homestand on Friday, May 20, taking on the Washington Nationals in a three-game, weekend set. Following the series, Miami will kick off an Interleague, two-game series against their in-state rivals Tampa Bay Rays on Monday, May 23. The Marlins enter the homestand with a 21-19 record, just 3.0 games out of first place in the NL East division.

The highlights of the Marlins' fourth homestand include:

  • Japanese Heritage Day - Sunday, May 22 vs. Washington
  • Ichiro Suzuki Hit-Counter Bobblehead, courtesy of Tire Kingdom (first 12,000 fans) - Sunday, May 22 vs. Washington
  • South Florida Heroes Monday - Monday, May 23 vs. Tampa Bay
  • STEAM Day - Tuesday, May 24 vs. Tampa Bay
