Bynum, 26, appeared in 71 games with the Cubs last season. He batted .257 with four home runs, 12 RBIs and eight stolen bases, starting 15 games at second, 13 in left field, eight in right field and two in center.
He was sidelined because of inflammation in his right shoulder in late June, and was not activated until Aug. 21.
The Cubs acquired the left-handed-hitting outfielder on March 31 from Oakland in a trade, and Bynum made the Opening Day roster.
