White Sox recall Tommy Kahnle from AAA Charlotte; Place Daniel Webb on DL

Prior to tonight's game at Baltimore, the Chicago White Sox recalled right-hander Tommy Kahnle (CAIN-lee) from Class AAA Charlotte and placed right-handed pitcher Daniel Webb on the 15-day disabled list with right elbow flexor inflammation.
Kahnle, 26, owns a 3.00 ERA (3 ER/9.0 IP) with one save and 12 strikeouts over seven relief outings with Charlotte this season. He is limiting right-handers to a .096 (2-21) average with 10 strikeouts.

Kahnle, who will wear uniform No. 48, has made 90 career major-league appearances over two seasons (2014-15) with Colorado, going 2-2 with a 4.41 ERA (50 ER/102.0 IP). Right-handed hitters are batting .217 (43-198) with 62 strikeouts in his career.
Kahnle was acquired from Colorado in exchange for pitcher Yency Almonte on November 24, 2015. He was originally selected by New York-AL in the fifth round of the 2010 draft.
Webb, 26, tossed a scoreless inning with three strikeouts last night after being recalled from Charlotte on April 27. Webb went 2-1 with a 3.38 ERA (4 ER/10.2 IP), two saves, five strikeouts and zero walks in seven relief appearances with the Knights in 2016.
