Golden grab: Gordon saves Royals with catch

ANAHEIM -- Royals left fielder Alex Gordon was back doing Alex Gordon kind of things in Tuesday'a 9-4 loss to the Angels.

With two out and one on in the second inning against the Angels, Albert Pujols sent a drive headed toward the alley in left-center.

But Gordon, a four-time Gold Glover, tracked it down and made a lunging/diving grab, a catch that surely saved a run as the speedy Mike Trout was on first.

The catch helped keep the game close, as the Royals trailed, 3-2, at the time of Gordon's grab.
