Machado, coming off a career year shows no signs of slowing down and has a 16-game hitting streak and .397 batting average. Machado entered Sunday with six homers --tied for the team lead with Davis and 11 RBIs.
The rest of the Os on the ballot are multiple-time All-Star Adam Jones, Pedro Alvarez, Jonathan Schoop, Matt Wieters and J.J. Hardy.

The other side: Eric Hosmer was snubbed last year, despite Kansas City's strong following. Hosmer entered Sunday batting .299/.338/.433 and could earn a trip to the Midseason Classic.
Tip of the cap: Houston's left fielder Colby Ramsus has started strong, with six homers and 16 RBIs in his first 18 games.
A rising star: There's no question that Twins rookie Byron Buxton is fun to watch, for his speed and defense alone. It's been a slower start at the plate for Buxton, but -- with four extra-base hit and a pair of stolen bases already -- he's worth keeping an eye on.
