D-backs recall Tyler Wagner from Triple-A Reno, option Sócrates Brito

The Arizona Diamondbacks (@Dbacks) recalled right-handed pitcher Tyler Wagner (@_TylerWagner_) from Triple-A Reno and optioned outfielder Sócrates Brito to Reno, as announced by D-backs Sr. Vice President & General Manager Dave Stewart.

Wagner, 25, was 11-5 with a 2.25 ERA (38 ER in 152.1 IP) in 25 starts with Double-A Biloxi in 2015, and was named to the Southern League midseason All-Star Team. He hasmade 2 starts with the Aces this season, going 0-2 with a 5.19 ERA (5 ER in 8.2 IP).

Wagner was acquired from Milwaukee, with infielder Jean Segura, on Jan. 30 for infielders Aaron Hill and Isan Diaz and right-handed pitcher Chase Anderson. The 6-foot-3, 205-pounder made 3 starts with the Brewers last season, including his Major League debut vs. D-backs on May 31. Wagner will wear No. 34.

Brito, 23, played in 10 games with Arizona and was hitting .226 (7-for-31) with 1 home run and 2 RBI.
