Two Minor League players suspended

The Office of the Commissioner of Baseball announced today that two Minor League players have been suspended following their violations of the Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program.

Tampa Bay Rays Minor League right-handed pitcher Damion Carroll has received a 50-game suspension without pay following a second positive test for a Drug of Abuse. The suspension of Carroll, who is currently on the roster of the Single-A Charlotte Stone Crabs of the Florida State League, is effective immediately.

Detroit Tigers Minor League right-handed pitcher Spenser Watkins has received a 50-game suspension without pay following a second positive test for a Drug of Abuse. The suspension of Watkins, who is currently on the roster of the Single-A West Michigan Whitecaps of the Midwest League, is effective immediately.
