Brewers Community Foundation presents 2nd annual "Hitting 4 the Cycle" benefit
Brewers Community Foundation is proud to announce the 2nd Annual "Hitting 4 the Cycle" bike ride and event. On Saturday, August 13, Brewers Community Foundation will once again give bike lovers and Brewers fans the opportunity to combine their two favorite activities. Fans will be able to select one of four bike routes, (22, 44, 88, or 100 miles) that will culminate with a fun-filled tailgate party and that evening's Brewers vs. Cincinnati Reds game.
The cost to register is $50, with a $150 mandatory fundraising minimum. The money raised will support a number of local organizations that, consistent with Brewers Community Foundation's vision, focus on the areas of health, education, recreation and basic needs. Registrants/fundraisers may qualify for incentives outlined at brewers.ride-mlb.com. Urban Ecology Milwaukee, Dream Bikes, and St. Ben's Community Meal Program are the beneficiaries identified for 2016.
"Brewers Community Foundation focuses on identifying opportunities to support organizations that are addressing critical issues in our community," said Brewers Community Foundation Executive Director Cecelia Gore. "We are excited to launch the 2nd annual "Hitting 4 the Cycle" benefit bike ride. The ride provides another opportunity to participate in a fun activity while doing good for the community."
Sponsors for the benefit include Prairie Springs: The Paul Fleckenstein Trust, The Lowlands Group, and UnitedHealthcare. The Wisconsin Bike Federation will also be actively supporting "Hitting 4 the Cycle."
