Prior to today's game at Minnesota, the Chicago White Sox reinstated outfielder Adam Eaton from the Paternity List and optioned right-handed pitcher Michael Ynoa to Class AA Birmingham.
Eaton, 27, was placed on the Paternity List yesterday for the birth of his first child, Brayden, who was delivered on Saturday. He has gone 9-20 (.450) with a double, triple, RBI and two runs scored over five games in 2016. Eaton became the first White Sox player since Nellie Fox in 1955 to open the season with four consecutive multihit games.
Ynoa, 24, made one appearance with Birmingham this season, tossing 1.0 scoreless IP with one strikeout on April 7 at Jacksonville. He was acquired from Oakland as part of a six-player trade on December 9, 2014.
