D-backs select Matt Buschmann from Triple-A Reno, designate Kyle Drabek for assignment

The Arizona Diamondbacks (@Dbacks) selected the contract of right-handed pitcher Matt Buschmann (@Busch26) from Triple-A Reno and designated right-handed pitcher Kyle Drabek for assignment, as announced by D-backs Sr. Vice President & General Manager Dave Stewart. 

Buschmann, 32, combined to go 8-10 with a 4.08 ERA (61 ER in 134.2 IP) in 23 starts in 2015 with Triple-A Durham (Rays), Triple-A Louisville (Reds) and Triple-A Norfolk (Orioles).

Buschmann, who signed with Arizona as a Minor League free agent on Dec. 11, 2015, has no Major League experience and will wear No. 45.

Drabek, 28, pitched 2.0 innings his D-backs debut last night vs. Cubs. His contract was selected from Reno on Tuesday.

The D-backs 40-man roster remains at 40.
