New faces

The Nationals made the signing of outfielder Juan Soto a top priority last July and landed the then-16-year-old with a $1.5 million bonus, a franchise record for a Latin American teenager. The Dominican Republic native experienced stateside baseball for the first time last year during instructional league, and he'll make his highly anticipated pro debut at some point in 2016 after beginning in extended spring camp.
