New faces
Everyone on our Yankees Top 30 Prospect list has played for the organization previously, though left-hander Ian Clarkin (elbow issues) and catcher Luis Torrens (shoulder surgery) missed all of 2015 with injuries.

On the shelf
Outfielder Mason Williams and right-hander Bryan Mitchell are opening the season on the big league disabled list. Williams is still recovering from shoulder surgery last summer, while Mitchell broke his left big toe while covering first base in a Grapefruit League game and will miss four months after having surgery Tuesday. Torrens is on Class A Charleston's disabled list after experiencing some discomfort in his shoulder during Spring Training.
