LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. -- Coming off a tough season that was marred by Freddie Freeman's wrist injury and the lack of bullpen depth that existed after the All-Star break, Braves manager Fredi Gonzalez is looking forward to the chance to start anew this year.
The video that accompanies this story includes a discussion MLB.com's Mark Bowman and Gonzalez recently had about a variety of topics, including Freeman's healthy Spring Training and some of the encouraging signs he saw from young pitchers like Matt Wisler and Mike Foltynewicz.
While Gonzalez is focused on the current season, he also exited Spring Training encouraged by what he had seen from Dansby Swanson, Ozzie Albies, Mallex Smith and some of the other prospects who made a strong impression while in big league camp.
