Wright, who has been eased into action while resting his troublesome back, will take his first official cuts of the spring tonight. The 33-year-old third baseman was limited to 38 games last season, though he returned down the stretch to help the Mets fend off these same Nats en route to clinching the NL pennant.

Wright figures to be tested immediately, as he will be stepping into the box against Washington's top overall prospect, right-hander Lucas Giolito. It will be the first start of the spring for Giolito, who has allowed three runs and tallied eight strikeouts over 4 2/3 innings in three relief appearances.
