The Pittsburgh Pirates announced today a partnership with Ainsworth Pet Nutrition® naming the western Pennsylvania based company's Rachael Ray™ Nutrish® brand the title sponsor of the Pirates 10 upcoming 2016 Pup Nights at PNC Park.
Pup Nights at PNC Park, presented by Rachael Ray Nutrish, will take place on select Tuesdays throughout the 2016 season starting on May 3, when the Pirates take on the Chicago Cubs. Pup Night packages are on sale now at pirates.com/pups and include a ticket on the Pirates Deck (section 335-339) for one fan and their dog with a portion of the proceeds benefiting local animal shelters.
"Ainsworth is very excited to have our Rachael Ray Nutrish brand of dog food and treats sponsoring Pittsburgh Pirates Pup Nights," said Ainsworth Vice President of Marketing, Steve Joyce. "We are a family owned company that has been based in Western PA for over 80 years - so this partnership just makes perfect sense."
As part of the collaboration, during each Pup Night one Western PA Humane Society and Animal Friends shelter will bring a dog that is available for adoption. If someone in the park adopts the dog at the game, Ainsworth will provide dog food for a year to the dog's new owner.
Fans can secure their Pup Night tickets now as well as find complete information and the full Pup Night schedule at Pirates.com/pups.
