Plouffe is coming off one of his best seasons in Minnesota, where he hit .244/.307/.435 with 22 homers and set a career high in hits (140), RBIs (86) and runs (74). He receives a raise for his efforts after earning $4.8 million last season.
Minnesota signed all six of its arbitration-eligible players -- Kevin Jepsen, Eduardo Escobar, Eduardo Nunez, Tommy Milone, Casey Fien and Plouffe -- before the hearing process could begin.
