A's regular-season tickets on sale

Promotions include Doolittle Metallica Gnome, Vogt replica jersey

OAKLAND -- Individual game tickets for A's regular-season home games, several of which feature enticing promotions, are on sale now.

Fans can purchase these tickets online at athletics.com or by phone at 1-877-493-BALL (2255). They can also be obtained in person at the Coliseum Gate D box office.

Promotions and special events

Among the many giveaways being offered by the A's this year is a Sean Doolittle Metallica Gnome, a nod to the closer's entrance music, "For Whom the Bell Tolls." In fitting fashion, Doolittle's gnome sports a Metallica shirt and metal horns. This promotion is scheduled for April 30 with the Astros in town.

All-Star catcher Stephen Vogt, whose caricature was seen by way of a talking basketball referee bobblehead last year, is at the center of one of the first promotional items of the 2016 season. Fans will have the chance to snag a Vogt replica jersey on April 16, ahead of a matchup with the Royals.

Vogt shows off talents as ref

This year, the bobblehead of choice is outfielder Josh Reddick, scheduled to be handed out May 28 (Tigers). Moreover, the A's will give away a Jose Canseco Rookie of the Year bobblehead on Sept. 3, with the Red Sox as guests.

The club has six postgame fireworks shows on tap for the season, arranged for May 20, June 17, July 2, July 23, Aug. 13 and Sept. 23. Other popular promotions returning include Free Parking Tuesday and Friday Family Packs.
