Sale extended! Cyber Monday deals continue

One day wasn't enough. Cyber Monday has been extended at the MLB.com Shop for another 24 hours.

Take 20 percent off anything at the MLB.com Shop until 11:59 p.m. ET Tuesday. It's a perfect time to get started on some holiday decor and chip away at your shopping list with a Full-Zip Hooded Fleece or Youth 3-in-1 T-shirt Combo. Use the promo code GROUNDSHIP to receive free domestic ground shipping on any order over $99.

The term "Cyber Monday" was coined by the National Retail Federation's Shop.org division in 2005, defining the day on which retailers saw a 77 percent increase in sales on the second-busiest online shopping day of the year. In '05, sales jumped 25 percent, to $608 million, and in '08, sales jumped 15 percent, to $846 million. This year, Cyber Monday shoppers are expected to increase that by 2.3 percent, and the National Retail Association expects all online holiday shopping to total about $447.1 billion.

"I have to get to MLB.com to get one of those necklaces for my daughter's roommate and future MLB player," said Kathy Dexter of Iuka, Miss., referring to the Phiten twisted ropes worn by so many players.

"I will be buying first and foremost the Cooperstown adjustable Reds cap for myself! I'll be getting the Jason Heyward replica jersey for my dad, he was so happy with the Triple Peak Premier Jacket I got him last year. My mom is a Pirates fan, so I'll have to find her something good, suggestions always welcome! She loved the hoody I gave her last year!" said Robert Martin of Franklin, Tenn., in an e-mail to MLB.com.

The MLB.com Gift Guru has some tips on what you could get for 20 percent off if you fire up the shopping cart today.
