The Blue Jays made an addition to their revamped front office Sunday, naming Mike Murov their new director of baseball operations.
Murov joins Toronto after serving as the Red Sox's assistant director of Major League operations, and will "support baseball operations in creating and implementing decision making systems and processes across the department," according to a news release.
In addition, Murov is expected to assist the Blue Jays in the analysis of financial, statistical and contractual information, coordinating contract negotiation and arbitration preparation.
Murov, who graduated from Dartmouth, has been involved in baseball operations since 2008 in various roles. He has worked with the Marlins and Reds and had been with the Red Sox since 2010.
