Phillies, Gomez reportedly make 1-year deal

The Phillies and Jeanmar Gomez avoided arbitration and agreed to a one-year deal, according to a report from FOXSports.com.

The contract for the 27-year-old right-hander is reported to be worth $1.4 million.

Gomez has a 4.16 ERA across six Major League seasons, but the 2015 season was his first in Philadelphia.

Coming out of the bullpen last season, Gomez appeared in 65 games and posted a 3.01 ERA over 74 2/3 innings.
